Buyong Station – A Town Where Time Pauses

 

The train stopped again, this time at Buyong Station — a quiet, wooden platform in Danyang, Chungbuk. Only a handful of trains visit this station, and I was there for one of them.

After the train left, the wind and sunlight filled the air. I stood alone, letting the stillness guide my steps into the village beyond.

Buyongdae – Reflections Between Water and Sky

About 15 minutes from the station, I reached Buyongdae. The river reflected the cliffs, clouds, and even my still shadow. There was no noise — only the sound of being present.

A Quiet Walk Through the Village

I wandered through the back alleys and narrow roads. Stone walls, fading houses, distant dogs barking — nothing rushed, and everything belonged.
